Life Haven WA is a Christian non-profit organization in Snohomish County, Washington. Established in 2023, Life Haven WA is the vision of our founder, Daniel Wright. Daniel discovered that, while there are a significant number of resources for single and struggling women in Western Washington, there is a noticeable lack of housing for pregnant women who want to keep their babies against all odds. Life Haven is a home that seeks to fill this void in social services. Our staff embraces mothers-to-be with love and understanding while our programs nurture, educate, and house women through their pregnancies and beyond. Life Haven ensures that children enter the world with love and are nurtured by women who know their worth, women who deserve a loving, supportive community.
As a Christian ministry, the basic beliefs of our faith are outlined in the Nicene Creed. This statement of faith remains unchanged since the Second Ecumenical Council in the fourth century. We affirm this devotional and liturgical prayer daily.
The Creed
I believe in one God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible;
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Only-begotten,
Begotten of the Father before all worlds, Light of Light, Very God of Very God,
Begotten, not made; of one essence with the Father, by whom all things were made:
Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven,
And was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became man;
And was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried;
And the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures;
And ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father;
And He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead,
Whose kingdom shall have no end.
And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, and Giver of Life,
Who proceeds from the Father,
Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified,
Who spoke by the Prophets;
And I believe in One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.
I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins.
I look for the Resurrection of the dead.
And the Life of the world to come.
Amen.
We believe that life is sacred. All people are created in the likeness of the image of God. We see the beauty in all people who come through our doors. Sanctity of life does not only mean the life of the unborn child, but preserving and restoring the life of the mother.
We are all wounded people. God offers healing. Life Haven strives to create a home that is full of healing and love for women and their children who need it most. May this be the first step in a journey of peace, love, and safety.
For the staff and volunteers at Life Haven, we measure success through love and healing. This is not a journey of days, but of years. We prepare a woman in our care with the tools to love and provide for herself and her child.
